Romanians from Everywhere as Tuition Fee Paying Students

Romanians from Everywhere as Fee Paying Students

What is a “Romanian of Everywhere”?
According to Law no. 299/2007, Romanians of Everywhere are persons who freely assume Romanian cultural identity, as well as those of Romanian origin or belonging to the Romanian linguistic and cultural heritage living outside Romania, regardless of the ethnonym used. This category also includes Romanian emigrants, their descendants, and Romanian citizens with residence abroad, whether or not they have retained Romanian citizenship.

Please note: candidates who hold Romanian citizenship and reside in Romania (holding the Romanian ID card) must apply through the standard admission process for Romanian citizens at their chosen faculty. Candidates that have pursued studies outside Romania but hold the Romanian citizenship and a Romanian ID card are not eligible for a Romanians of Everywhere place.

Romanians from everywhere who have already benefited from a scholarship for the same cycle of studies are not eligible to receive another scholarship for that cycle. However, they may apply as fee-paying students either for the same study cycle or for a program taught in a language other than Romanian.
